I'm Scott McGinlay, the founder of Paisley Pie Co, and what a journey it's been so far!
Food has always been in my blood. Growing up around my family's butchery business in Paisley, I learned from a young age the importance of quality ingredients, hard work and looking after your customers. Those values have stayed with me throughout everything I've done.
Before Paisley Pie Co, I built Scott McGinlay Catering, a business that grew from humble beginnings into catering for hundreds of events, weddings, celebrations, major organisations and some pretty incredible occasions across Scotland.
But I had another idea...
What if we took the humble Scottish pie and gave it a whole new personality?
And that's exactly what we did!
Paisley Pie Co was born from a love of proper Scottish food, a little bit of madness and a determination to create pies that people had never seen before.
From our traditional Steak & Gravy Pie to our outrageous Big Daddy Donner Kebab Pie, Lasagne Pie and countless other creations, we started experimenting, filming and sharing our ideas online.
And then things went absolutely crazy!
Our pies started going viral, reaching millions of people across social media. Suddenly, people weren't just travelling from around Paisley and Glasgow — they were coming from all over Scotland and beyond to see what all the fuss was about!
Some of our creations became so popular that we genuinely struggled to keep up. At one point, we even had to invest in multiple donner kebab machines running through the night to keep our famous kebab pies in production!
What started as an idea has grown into a business with our own shops, a growing wholesale operation, dedicated production facilities and an incredible team of hardworking people who help bring it all together.
And we're still only getting started.
But here's something that will never change.
No matter how big Paisley Pie Co becomes, I'll never forget where we came from.
We're a proud Paisley business, built on family values, proper ingredients, hard graft and a community that has supported us every step of the way.
Our customers are the reason we're here. Every pie purchased, every video shared, every recommendation and every person who has queued outside our shops has helped turn this little idea into something I could only have dreamed of.
My ambition is simple — to take a little piece of Paisley to homes across the whole of the UK, without ever losing the quality, character and personality that made us who we are.
There are some very exciting things ahead, and I genuinely can't wait to share them with you.
